In Provincetown, where the Mayflower landed and where gay men and women have created a haven for themselves for decades, my wife and I had our honeymoon. We were, we found, both interlopers and pilgrims, both scorned and welcomed. We watched the sun rise. We watched it set. We started the rest of our lives.
